    The Community

Existing since the 1860′s, Baldwin offers a great blend of gracious older homes and comfortable new construction. Home of Baker University, the town also provides a variety of recreational activities which range from traditional sports, lakes for fishing, library programs, a quilters’ guild, and a 9-hole sand-green golf course to several significant historical points of interest.

Approximately 50 civic organizations and seven churches provide other avenues for anyone to become actively involved in the community.

Maple Leaf Festival, held the third full weekend in October, celebrates the fall season with a parade, entertainment, and 250 craft booths. The area’s various deciduous trees are almost always in full color for this festive weekend which annually attracts thousands of visitors.
