Baldwin Elementary Families,
Our Baldwin Elementary Parent Teacher Organization met last night and officially voted to reorganize into an executive board. This newly board was elected by the 16 persons in attendance. Their role will be to allocate funds, determine a budget and set corresponding fundraisers, serve as the official Site Council for both elementary schools, and schedule PTO events.
A first order of business is establishing operating by-laws and selecting dates for next year’s events. Those two items will be on the agenda at their first official meeting on Tuesday, May 6 at 3:30 in the PRIMARY Center library. This meeting, as always, is open to the public.
Congratulations to the newly elected PTO Executive Board members: Alice Craig, Debbie Ellebracht, Amber Walters, Jennifer Herrington, Cheryl Schoenberger, Christie Willis, Ashley Walter, Kelley Bethell-Smith – Treasurer Elect, Michelle Patterson -Facebook facilitator.
Cindi Thomas gave a treasurer’s report
Kelley Bethell-Smith gave a brief report about the Science Fair. Major feedback favors the January date. More specific discussions to take place at the May 6 planning session.
Alice Craig provided a carnival update. Look for a separate carnival update soon.
Dr. Ehling-Gwin issued a call for all students turning 4 or 5 years old by August 31 to contact the PC for possible enrollment in the 4 Year Old program and Kindergarten.
USD 348 Board member Nikki Tiller gave a brief board update.
