Bonnie Butell-Huntoon, BHS instructor said, “After hearing Mr. Dorathy speak on technology and web literacy at our August District Inservice, I invited him to present to the Composition I classes at the high school.”
Mrs. Butell-Huntoon explained the class is beginning a persuasive research essay, and she thought the students would benefit from information regarding how to use the web for academic purposes.
“He discussed how to determine validity of sources and how to narrow a search to get desired results. Most importantly, students are more engaged by hearing a new voice and a fresh perspective at this point in the semester! It was a great opportunity for students to interact with the Superintendent in a comfortable environment.”
