STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The purpose of the Baldwin Elementary PTO Executive Board includes the following:
- To serve as the Site Council for Baldwin Elementary Schools, in accordance of Kansas state law.
- To make decisions regarding the PTO programming offered during the course of each school year.
- To oversee the budget as related to above-referenced annual programming.
- To commit to a minimum of four in-person meetings per year (held in September, November, February, and May), as well as be available for other meetings and/or votes when needed (whether this be in-person or electronic in nature).
STATEMENT OF GOVERNANCE
The Executive Board will consist of no less than 7 members and shall not exceed 11 members. Ideally, members of the Executive Board will consist of both Primary Center and Intermediate Center representation. In addition, every effort will be made to ensure that each school has both parent and staff representation. Both building principals will serve as ex officio, non-voting members of the Executive Board. This document may be amended by a 2/3 majority vote of the Executive Committee.
