Congratulations to the winners of the 2013-2014 Innovative Technology Grants!

Laura Beaulieu, BHS SPED, was awarded a projector and Justand V2 iPad stand for using the iPad to promote student-led lessons and flipped classrooms.

Brant Brittingham, BHS Science, was awarded a set of wireless Vernier Temperature Probes to incorporate real world science technology in the classroom.

Christy Carlisle, BHS Art, was awarded three laptops for incorporating technology into the creative process in the art classroom.

Kathy Dorsey, BESIC Title, was awarded an iPad to assist with reading achievement.

Debbie Ellebracht, BESPC Music, was awarded eight Casio keyboards and stands for use with the MerrieNan Melodies music curriculum.

Rhonda Hitchcock, BESPC Title, was awarded an iPad and case for use with Lexia Core5 to improve reading at the Primary Center.

Becky Florance, Lauren Keeton, and Claire Kueffer, BESIC SPED, were awarded two iPads and Otterbox cases for their project “The Sky’s the Limit”, an interdisciplinary, critical thinking approach to a long-term project.

Danita Price, BESIC 4th grade, was awarded an iPad Mini and case for her project “Crazy for QR Codes”, using the iPad Mini and QR codes to enhance learning and engage students.

Carolyn Stansberry, BESPC Title, was awarded an iPad and case to help motivate students to practice reading strategies to increase fluency.

Betsy Ulrich, BESPC SPED, was awarded a Forte Text-to-Speech unit for improving students’ writing skills.

Heather Wallsmith, BESIC 5th grade, was awarded a SMART Document Camera 450 to use with augmented reality software to engage student learning.
