BESPC provides limited school-related counseling services. These services are provided by a licensed master social worker and/or licensed school psychologist. Some of the services include:
Classroom prevention activities
These activities are directed toward the development of positive attitudes about self and others, and the acquisition of basic life skills such as decision-making, conflict resolution, and effective communication skills.
CARE Team
As chair of the CARE Team our school social worker facilitates a collaborative process involving staff and parents in early identification of academic, developmental, and behavioral problems. Referrals to our CARE Team can be made by students, staff, or parents.
