Playgroups allow children the opportunity to play with other children while parents/caregivers model play and interact with other adults. Playgroups are open to community families and enrollment in the program is not necessary for attendance. They are typically held in the STAR/Parents as Teachers room in the Baldwin Elementary School Primary Center, 500 Lawrence Street. These are held on Tuesdays from 9:30-10:30am. Wellness Policy – In an effort to stop the spread of illness, we ask that you not attend any STAR/PAT activities if you or your children have had the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: fever, vomiting or diarrhea. If you or someone in your household has been ill in the last 24 hours, please contact your parent educator or call the STAR Office at 785-594-7050 to reschedule your home visit for another date.
Weather Cancellation Policy – If Baldwin City USD 348 cancels school, ALL home visits,
playgroups, group meetings and other STAR/PAT activities will be cancelled as well. You can check the school district website or the STAR/PAT FaceBook page or local news outlets for school cancellation updates.
